Yisrayl Hawkins, Pastor and Overseer at The House of Yahweh in Abilene, Texas, has released a new publication this week dispelling the popular belief that Peter was the first Pope. In the article titled “Peter Was not the First Pope - Uncovers a Lot of Deceit,” the Texas Pastor hits on several popular beliefs and teachings explaining why they are wrong.
Yisrayl says Peter is not even the Apostle’s real name. His name was purposely changed as an insult.
“Peter was not the name of the person who wrote two books that King James authorized to be rendered First and Second Peter. That name is an insult, to say the least,” Yisrayl says.
The 26-page article gives an detailed explanation on why he says the name was changed, and what makes that name not suitable. He reveals the true name of that Apostle and also discusses the history of the Popes and why the Apostle was not the First Pontiff.
