Yisrayl Hawkins Says Valentine’s Day Has a Deeper, Darker Meaning
The Pastor of The House of Yahweh has written a booklet that he says exposes the truth behind what many people believe is a harmless tradition called Valentine’s Day.

While millions of people celebrate February 14th as a day to show what they have been led to believe is love, one man says this is an ancient, evil tradition that most people are unaware of and he wants them to know the truth.
Hawkins, who is the Pastor and Overseer of The House of Yahweh in Abilene, Texas, says he can prove that Valentine’s Day stems from an ancient fertility ritual to celebrate gods, which the bible strictly condemns.
“I don’t think many people realize where this day comes from. They were taught as a child in school that it’s fun to give these nice cards and gifts to classmates; then, they just keep doing it as they grow. If they only knew what they were really practicing, and to whom,” Hawkins said.
“Did you know that the customs of Valentine's Day are derived from the old roman February feast called Lupercalia? Lupercalia is an ancient roman festival with fertility rites, which include permission to molest children. It’s pagan worship. This is just a piece of it, it gets a lot deeper and darker,” Hawkins said.
Hawkins has written a booklet that is published by The House of Yahweh called “The Real Meaning Behind Valentine’s Day!,” which is available at no cost to read online or they’ll mail a copy to you.
The booklet covers many details concerning fertility rites which Hawkins says are contrary to Yahweh’s Laws.
Hawkins says he believes if people would educate themselves on the history of Valentine’s Day, and other pagan celebrations in honor of gods, they might be able to see how these evil customs crept into society and are causing innumerable problems in families and health. He said the evil that’s behind this day is so deceptive, that people will be shocked at how it was even allowed to be accepted and marketed as a positive tradition.
