Yisrayl Hawkins, Pastor of The House of Yahweh wrote a new article this week expounding on the need to protect children. He begins by encouraging the reader not to forget what took place with Michael Brown and reminds that there are many other children, like Michael Brown, who are being murdered and victimized. Yisrayl says violence is spreading faster than cancer all over the world and must be stopped through positive character training.
“There are close to seven billion Michaels in the world who were left to themselves and trained by hollywood movie makers and vengeful preachers. They never had any absolutely perfect, positive character training in their lives,” Yisrayl says.
Yisrayl says we must teach the children positive moral character in order for them to be able to make proper decisions that will benefit themselves and others.
“If our children go out into the dangerous streets of the world today, is it not reasonable to think they should have healthy minds capable of making rational decisions? Should they not have lessons in moral character also?” Yisrayl says.
He says character training needs to take place in homes, schools, afterschool programs, and every place a child attends on a daily basis so it’s ingrained in him. He says this constant training will provide children the necessary tools to choose not to harm others and actually want to teach others what they have learned. He calls it the ripple effect.
“Becoming a teacher of positive character is what we should be training the children to be, instead of being involved in violent video games and movies. Then we’ll begin to see this thing turn around," Yisrayl says.
